Today, Daddy and I met your birth mother, K-, and your birth grandmother, L-. It was a very exciting day! We met in the adoption agency office and we were very nervous before we got there. We had never met them before and we were worried they might not like us. We were so happy to meet them, see how nice they are, and how much they love you. We talked a lot about what was going to happen when K goes to the hospital to deliver you and afterward when you come home with us. There are a lot of details to work out but it's all about doing what is best for you. We talked for two hours and we laughed a lot and even cried some.
After the meeting was over, Daddy and I went to have some lunch and talk about our meeting. We felt so relieved having met K and L and seeing how wonderful they are and how much they love you and care about you.
When we got home, we made a website where we can share pictures and videos of you growing up. K wrote us back a really nice note that made Mommy cry, where she used the name that we picked out for you: Violet. We are so excited to meet you and to have such wonderful people in your life that will be there to always love you - even when they're not right next to you.
