Mommy is feeling slightly panicked lately. As the date of your arrival gets closer and closer, she's worried that she might not have everything all put together and ready for you. Of course, Mommy and Daddy already have your car seat, your crib and a dresser, your bassinet, some bottles, some diapers, a few clothes, blankets, and other important things like that. No, it's none of that stuff; it's the little stuff. Things like making sure our bags packed when we get the phone call that K- is going into labor. What will we need to stay in the hospital for a couple days while we're waiting for you and waiting to go home? We'll be a couple hours away from our house so we want to make sure we have everything we need, everything you'll need, and everything your sister will need for a few days. I found this great list that might be helpful.
It's also making sure that we have things in the house set up and ready for you. The crib and dresser are already put together and Mommy hopes to finish decorating and setting up your room this weekend. We do need to get the car seat set up and ready (it's never too early to practice!) and your bassinet ready and set up next to our bed. Mommy will take some pictures and post them later.
It's all so wonderful and so exciting, but Mommy - as you will come to learn - is a bit of a worrier. She always wants to know that as much as possible is organized, taken care of, and ready. She wants your arrival to your new home to be as fantastic as you deserve!
